How Long Should You Give To A Candidate To Make His Decision As A Recruiter?
As a recruitment consultant, you don’t want to be pushy and pressurize your candidate to make his decision but you also can’t lose control of the recruitment process. And you need to manage everyone’s expectations, including your hiring manager’s.
Moreover, you don’t want to lose the other good candidates and the second or third choice you have in the process and end up with no solution if the preferred candidate refuses the offer.
Consequently, you have no choice but to give your candidate a deadline.
But how long should it be so the candidate has enough time to think and decide without feeling pressurized and it is fast enough so you don’t lose your other candidates and keep control of the recruitment process?
