Economic Community of West African States

Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS as generally referred to, is a regional economic union of fifteen countries in the Western part of Africa. It was created to serve as a peace-keeping force supportive of each other when the need arises among member states in West Africa.

ECOWAS Branches are Six in Number. They include:

Human Resources Management; Energy and Mines; Education, Science and Culture; Telecommunications and IT; Industry and Private Sector Promotion.

ECOWAS STATES include:

NIGER, NIGERIA, SENEGAL, SIERRA LEONE, TOGO,CÔTE D’IVOIRE,GAMBIA, GHANA,BURKINA FASO,BENIN; CABO VERDE,GUINEA, GUINEA BISSAU, LIBERIA  and MALI.

The ECOWAS commission invites application from eligible and interested candidates to fill up the following positions:

  1. Consultant Firm for Market Survey for Goods / Works Items

         The main objective is to facilitate the creation of a database of prices of goods and services such as office equipment, computer equipment/consumables, office furniture, stationeries, and Works related items/services such as sanitary fittings, ceramic tiles, tiling/per square meter, door locks/cartridges, amongst others, to guide the Directorate of General Administration through the procurement process for such items. »»»»Click Here To Apply

        2. A Public Finance Specialist in Charge of the Harmonization of Public Department                   Management Framework

The main objective is to employ the services of a Consultant (Public Finance Expert in Public Debt management) to assess current strategies for and mechanism employed to member countries public debt management and to formulate and implement a strategy for the harmonization of national public debt management strategies and practices for the ECOWAS region. »»»Click here to apply

      3. Consultant (Comprehensive Assessment of the ECOWAS Headquarter Building for               Renovation)

ECOWAS commission Head-quarters was constructed from 1985 to 1991 and has been used from 1991 till date. The ECOWAS Commission Headquarters building is a five (5) storey building with four (4) storey Conference wing, a Main Conference Hall, Five (5) Committee Rooms and two (2) VIP Rooms. There are fifty-five (55) toilets Rooms and seventy-seven (77) toilets.

ECOWAS Commission is at the moment willing to undertake a comprehensive assessment of the ECOWAS Headquarters at Abuja, Nigeria, for an absolute renovation within the time frame of eight weeks. This is to ensure they provide staff with maximum security and care. »»»Click here to apply

          4. Public Account Specialist (in charge of the Harmonization, Adoption and                                   Implementation of Public Accounting Framework)

The major objective is to employ the services of a Consultant (Public Finance Expert) that can assess Public Accounting Frameworks in member states< NIGER, NIGERIA, SENEGAL, SIERRA LEONE, TOGO,CÔTE D’IVOIRE,GAMBIA, GHANA,BURKINA FASO,BENIN; CABO VERDE,GUINEA, GUINEA BISSAU, LIBERIA  and MALI > and formulate as well as implement a strategy to harmonize the Public Accounting Framework in ECOWAS. »»»»»Click Here to apply
