Senior Backend Developer – Jumia

The location for this fulltime job is in Lagos and the deadline for application is the 23rd of March.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a web-based service that is very efficient and scalable
• Grow our micro-services design
• Utilize state of the art technology in the maximization of your technical abilities
• Support and contribute to the work different teams across different disciplines
• Invent and authenticate software components to ensure they meet specified standards
• Take responsibility for your code to ensure its performance is efficient, and support others in their code evaluation
• Adhere to the rule of conduct, and principles and values of the company

Qualifications

1. At least 7 years of experience with web engineering at an established software firm
2. Strong competency with the principles of software engineering, data structuring, algorithms, and object-oriented design
3. Well versed with basic design principles when using a scalable application
4. User verification and approval between multi-systems and environments
5. Familiarity with web-oriented systems like Java/J2EEand NodeJS
6. Solid knowledge on how to use ORM (Hibernate) and SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
7. Familiarity with product engineering practices
8. Extreme interest in analyzing and solving complicated technical problems
9. Familiarity with the Agile Methodology

JForce Head of B2C

The location for this fulltime job is Lagos and the deadline for application is the 23rd of March.

Responsibilities

1. Develop a trustworthy and profitable B2C channels
2. Maximize the process of onboarding and invent strategies for consolidating sales  consultant’s activation
3. Supervise consultant’s management strategy
4. Coordinate commercial conduct of the JForce B2C consultants
5. Meet goals and deadlines for the B2C channel
6. Attain expansion of the agents’ database
7. Maintain engagement of the said database
8. Attain a solid activation rate of the database
9. Maximize the JForce marketing budget, producing maximum growth
10. Provide weekly reports juxtaposing actual results and set targets
11. Direct B2C team members of 4 to 9 FTEs
12. Proffer an innovative process

Qualifications

1. A degree (BSc) in Business studies, management, administration or something similar
2. A minimum of 6 years’ experience with sales and management
3. The ability to raise and training others to prospect successfully, thereby enabling them to achieve their quotas
4. Proof of success in the directing others to meet and exceed targets e.g sales
5. Capacity to design strategy, administer sales quota, and strategically execute the operator’s vision

IT Asset Management Associate

The location for this job is Lagos, it is a full-time job, and the deadline for application is not specified 

Responsibilities

You are to;

1. Handle them and run the administration of its hardware/software inventory,
2. Supervise the life cycle of IT assets
3. Superintend the eligible hardware and software requests
4. Authenticate all procurement orders for internal clients and maintenance
5. To work hand in hand with the procurement unit
6. Accountable for compliance to contract with IT asset vendor
7. Execute strategies for tracking the assets, to ensure quality control across the different life cycles
8. Develop procedures for administering daily asset management
9. Keep a record on all inventory released to Jumia personnel
10.  Provide an updated inventory list each time it is requested for by IT management
11. Manage third party licensing, maintenance renewal and warranty repair
12. Keep and preserve inventory on all non-user based IT equipment

Qualifications

1. Familiarity with front-line operational IT staff and procuring
2. Minimum experience of 3 years managing enterprise asset and working for frontline IT staff
3. Minimum experience of 3 years managing IT enterprise asset and information
4. Minimum experience of 3 years in the collation, review, and management reporting of information
5. Well versed with ITIL best practices

 Systems Analyst

1. The most fundamental responsibility is to develop and analyze systems for Jumia applications to introduce changes to business requests
2. Assist in the realization of scalable solutions and guarantee that every system changes is according to business quality standards
3. Close involvement with building enterprise applications, which require incredible analytical skills.

Operations Excellence Manager (Supply Chain)
